Founded in 2020, DEYA is more than an organization—we are a movement dedicated to empowering the next generation of creative talent by ensuring access, equity, and investment in Detroit’s youth arts ecosystem.

We tackle the systemic barriers that prevent Detroit’s youth from participating in the arts, ensuring that talent—not financial limitations—determines a young artist’s opportunities.

By serving as a trusted partner in the arts sector, we allow national foundations, corporations, and private donors to invest in one centralized resource, making a more significant impact without duplicating efforts. DEYA expands the funding pie rather than forcing smaller arts organizations to compete for limited resources, strengthening the entire creative ecosystem.
